Quar Boards Progressions (Part Interim)

 Hello,

I was going through some pictures as one does and thought that I had two series that show the progression of the Quar board project.  I thought to myself "Self, ya handsome and cleaver man, It'd be cool to put these pictures in a sequence and post them on the internet."

And I answered myself "Self, that would be kinda fun.  I wish I had thought of that.  You're brilliant."

So here we are.  A short post.  Think of it like a time-lapse but in a lame blog form.

Series 1: Line trench and Stairs-

Tadda!

Series 2: Wide Gunner Area -

Tadda!

There we go.  this post also doubles as a preview of the next one.

Till then.
Thanks for reading (in this case mostly looking)
Double thanks for writing a comment.

  1. Those stairs look dead cool. Really nicely done Stew.

Loving the flowers all over the place too. All looks very serene, like the kind of setting where two groups of tailess-not-anteaters would mix it up with guns and bombs and beetles and stuff.

  2. Stew, it's odd, I wasn't expecting trenches with flocked boards or stone steps....
Conditioned by WW1 I was expecting mud.....
I guess things are different in the Quarverse....

    1. Thanks Neil. This is a fantasy WW1 setting not the gritty realistic one. It's more like WWI set in a Lord the Rings type forest. 😁

  4. Neat idea on the time lapse style photos to see how the boards progressed. The addition of the flock really brings it all together, along with the patches of flowers etc. Those Quar certainly know how to make neat and tidy trench systems!

    1. Thanks Steve. Yes the flock can hide all the mistakes but also really does bring the boards together. 😁

  7. Great to see how it all comes together, it sucks sometimes to find a cool project and you want to emulate it, but all that you can find is the first and last step. So this is great for posterity!

  9. Awesome result Stew.
I to was expecting mud and destruction but this is way better! Sort of like a neat and tidy Vauban fortress crossed with trench lines. Fantastic.
